The waterfall is tied to a local legend about a nobleman's daughter who turned into a mermaid after falling in love with a shepherd. Her long flowing hair is said to have become the waterfall itself. Best visited between March and June, when the water is at its fullest, this natural wonder is located in the spa town of Jermuk—so you can follow your hike with a dip in healing mineral springs.
